The world premiere of the band arrangement by Martin Ducharme of "Poème" composed by Pierre Villette (1926-1998) took place on Sunday, May 22, 2022, 7:00pm at The Lovinger Theatre, Lehman College, The Department of Music. Gary Dranch, the clarinet soloist, commissioned the arrangement of this work from Mr. Ducharme in 2020. Professor Alan Hollander, Conductor and Director of The Lehman College and Community Band, graciously agreed to premiere this version of the work for the Spring Concert 2022. Performance rights were obtained with kind permission from ÉDITIONS MUSICALES ALPHONSE LEDUC, PARIS.
